Robert Orci Leaving Star Trek 3

According to Deadline Robert Orci is set to leave his directorial role for the third movie of the Star Trek Franchise. But he will still be a producer of the third itself.

The report also claims that names like Edgar Wright are in contention to take up the director mantle. Now Paramount Pictures have not yet confirmed if this is true or not but Deadline are quite the reliable source so it more than likely is.

Robert Orci was given the director's chair when JJ Abrams was announced as the director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
