TMNT 2: New Director, Plus Fan-Favourite Characters Appearing !

The sequel to the $477 million grossing movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is nearing having a new director as Dave Green, director of Earth to Echo, is in talks to direct Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, The Wrap reports. Paramount has not commented at this time.

Though we're not sure what story the sequel will follow, thanks to Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes producing partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, we do know a few of the new characters that'll be involved. While talking to Omelette (via Collider), the duo confirmed that we'll see Bebop (warthog) and Rocksteady (rhino) -- two villainous mutants from the '80s animated series -- in the movie. Plus, the Turtles' slightly unstable human pal Casey Jones also seems a good bet.

“We can say that Bebop and Rocksteady are in the film, and Casey Jones is a character that we love and we’re trying to fit him in as well”

They also mention that Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and the character of Shredder are set to return.
The sequel is slated to hit theaters on June 3, 2016
