Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in Talks for Sci-Fi ‘Passengers’

Sony Pictures is in negotiations with Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt to star in Morten Tyldum’s space love story “Passengers.”

The story is set in a future inside a spacecraft in which a man wakes up early from a cryogenic sleep. Due to loneliness, he decides to wake a female passenger for companionship.

The script is written by Jon Spaihts (“Prometheus,” “Doctor Strange”). Tyldum (“The Imitation Game”) jumped on board to direct late last year after Sony Pictures picked up the project after The Weinstein Co. and Focus Features failed to develop the picture.

It’s possible that Lawrence’s deal may not pan out due to her quite busy schedule.
