Let's just say that the future is not bright for either The 100, Team Flash. Team Arrow, or Team Free Will. But the night is darkest just before the dawn. and the dawn is coming for them I believe!

A new synopsis for The 100′s third season has surfaced, which gives us some new teases about what to expect when the show returns next year.

The synopsis originated on Comic-Con’s website in a description for the show’s panel on Friday, July 10.
The 100’s sacrifices and heartbreaking choices have changed them forever, but now, as they set out to stake their place in this dangerous new world, they will continue to face physical peril and moral dilemmas as they rebuild society. Although Mount Weather has been defeated, the danger remains very real for the survivors of The Ark, and the twists are just beginning. Be among the first to get the scoop on what’s in store for next season. What is the City of Light? Will Clarke get past the scars of war? What challenges will the survivors of The…

Warner Brothers Keeps DC; Gives New Line Cinema Vertigo's Properties For The Big Screen

Deadline are reporting that Warner Bros. have decided to give Vertigo Comics' properties to their New Line Cinema subsidiary. Warner Bros has its hands full with Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and all of the other tent-pole pictures they are planning from DC titles, and so it would make sense for the Vertigo titles to be steered under Toby Emmerich and Richard Brener. The Vertigo titles are considered subversive compared to the WB-steered DC Comics titles with those venerable superheroes.

Maybe the appropriate film on which to launch a dedicated Vertigo label would be Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, which Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been wrapped up in as director and star since he made his helming debut with Don Jon. Deadline scooped his involvement in the project two years ago. That project, a revered title by Gaiman which fanboys have waited years to see, has a script by David S. Goyer and Jack Thorne. Other titles in that constellation include Constantine, Dark Universe, Prea…

SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2015: Who's Coming To The CON!

The 2015 International Comic-Con in San Diego will take place a bit earlier in July than recent ‘Cons have, while a handful of powerhouse Hollywood studios are not going to be in attendance (including, Marvel Studios and Paramount). However, lest you assume that SDCC 2015 will be less hectic and jam-packed with panels than previous Comic-Cons, think again; in fact, the ‘hole’ left by studios like Marvel passing on the event has already been filled, by way of a larger presence for upcoming geek television shows (and, undoubtedly, Warner Bros.’ unveiling of its budding DC Cinematic Universe).

The full list of panels for SDCC 2015 – which kicks off with Preview Night on Wednesday, July 8th and runs from July 9th through to Sunday, July 12th – has been officially unveiled, with just over a week to go before the festivities get underway. Obviously, there are more panels than you can shake a stick at, so here is a rundown of some of the ‘must-see’ events at the ‘Con (along with the officia…

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF SHIELD To Introduce The Secret Warriors

When “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” returns to ABC this fall, the hit show will venture further into comic book territory by introducing characters inspired by Marvel’s “Secret Warriors.”

As Marvel fans know, in the comics, the Secret Warriors are a team of superpowered agents assembled by Nick Fury — including Daisy “Quake” Johnson (played by Chloe Bennet on the show). These special individuals are drawn from Fury’s Caterpillar initiative (which eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted an easter egg for in the season two finale) — made up of people with potential abilities who have remained hidden and thus are less likely to be compromised by their enemies.

Season three of “SHIELD” will introduce new friends and foes based on the “Secret Warriors” comic series when it premieres on Sept. 29. In the aftermath of SHIELD’s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) will search the world for more powered people and assemble an extraordinary new team to deal with threats…

We Now KNOW Who Is Our Next Spider-Man!

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017.  The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of "Cop Car," the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Marvel and Sony Pictures, and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal conducted an extensive search for both the actor and the director.  The studios and producers were impressed by Holland’s performances in "The Impossible," “Wolf Hall,” and the upcoming "In the Heart of the Sea," and by a series of complex screen tests.  Following Marvel’s tradition of working with the brightest next wave of directors, Watts also went through multiple meetings with Feige, Pascal, and the studio, before winning the job.

Commenting on the announcement, Tom Rothman, Sony Pictures Motion Pictures Group Chairm…

No MARVEL STUDIOS For San Diego Comic-Con; Makes Room For DC Entertainment

San Diego Comic-Con just got a bit duller. Marvel Studios is not staging a major Hall H presentation next month for its Marvel upcoming feature films, Deadline has learned. That cedes the stage for Warner Bros-based DC, which will be holding a significant presentation to introduce the Zack Snyder-directed Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad, both of which reach theaters next year, followed by the Gal Gadot starrer Wonder Woman and Justice League, Part One, which arrive in 2017. It is a real opportunity for Warner Bros to impress the fanboys, and it seems likely that Will Smith, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and others will be front and center to feel that superhero love.

With so many hit franchises in working order, Marvel’s Kevin Feige just doesn’t have anything new to show this year. That happened in 2011, the last time Marvel skipped the Con. Too bad, because Marvel panels rarely disappoint, going back to 2009, when Robert Downey Jr took the stage and gave a whole Ton…

Bernthal will also appear in the upcoming action thriller “The Accountant.”

New BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Synopsis Teases Another Threat IS Coming

Collider has just released the seemingly first official story synopsis for Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Though it's understandably fairly light on specific plot details, it does confirm that a villain/villains will take advantage of the superhero showdown and launch some kind of global attack of their own. This "new threat" is most likely engineered by Lex Luthor, who may have had a hand in setting the Dark Knight and the Man Of Steel at each other's throats in the first place. But that's just a theory! Have a read of the synopsis for yourselves and see what you think.

"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known bef…

Jai Courtney Talks SUICIDE SQUAD'S Captain Boomerang And More

Speaking with to promote Terminator: Genysis, actor Jai Courtney also touched on his role as Captain Boomerang in David Ayer's Suicidie Squad and Jared Leto's performance as the Joker.  Said the Divergent actor, "[Suicide Squad's] really great, man. I’m really excited about it. The vibe on set’s fantastic. We've really found a sort of a family atmosphere out there. The cast are fantastic. And I’m working with some wonderful actors and David Ayer’s someone who… I mean, he was the real draw card for me. I hadn’t read a script at all when I signed on. We’d met on a couple of occasions and we’d spoken. And, to be honest, when he told me that the role of Captain Boomerang was what he was thinking, I kind of cringed. ‘Cause I wasn't a comic book kid. I wasn't familiar with the DC universe and the history of that’. So I knew nothing about it. And I was, like, ‘Oh, god, Captain Boomerang…Really?…I really don't know how Australians will rea…

Lionsgate has released the first The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 trailer for director Francis Lawrence‘s final installment of the franchise. In the conclusion, Panem has gone to war, and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) have come to their final confrontation.

As this is just a teaser trailer it doesn’t reveal too much, but it’s clear that Francis Lawrence is closing out this franchise with an honest-to-goodness war picture. We see glimpses of the rebels preparing for battle, as well as the descent upon the Capitol and even a look at Gwendoline Christie‘s character, and it all looks fantastic.

Check out the new The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 trailer below. The film also stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, and Julianne Moore.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Dona…

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Reaches $300 Million At The Box Office!

Currently, Mad Max: Fury Road has earned $125.1 million at the domestic box office, placing it at 9th on the current 2015 domestic box office list.  Fury Road is sure to climb higher though before ending its run.  George Miller has already announced that the script for a sequel has already been written in addition to a treatment for a third installment.

With an estimated  production budget of $150 million and current box office gross of $307.8 million , just how high will Mad Max need to climb in order for WB to officially announce a sequel?  The film is opening in Japan on June 20th and is still slated to open in China (though it doesn't have an official release date) so there's still million more to add to the final box office tally.
