CBS' SUPERGIRL Adds Chris Browning As Superman Villain Reactron

The highly anticipated freshman drama has tapped Sons of Anarchy alum Chris Browning to portray Ben Krull — otherwise known as Reactron.

On the Melissa Benoist starrer, Ben Krull (aka Reactron) is a deadly adversary of Superman's from Metropolis who wears an armored suit powered by nuclear energy. Never able to defeat his rival, Krull has come to National City to get revenge on the Man of Steel by killing his cousin, Supergirl.

The character will first appear in episode three and is set as a guest star with a strong potential to recur.

Browning becomes the latest DC character to board the series and joins Nurse Jackie alum Peter Facinelli, who will recur as Maxwell Lord, a green tech billionaire who is fascinated with National City's newest citizen: Supergirl. He also has a friendly rivalry with Kara's boss, Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). In comic book lore, Maxwell Lord has wavered between being a good guy and a bad guy. He helped the Justice League get together, hoping…

GAMBIT In Trouble?; Casting Call & Budget Revealed

Gambit is now in jeopardy as The Wrap reveals that his deal to star in the movie is close to falling apart, and insiders tell them that director Rupert Wyatt will soon be looking for a new leading man (which means that the studio won't scrap the project altogether). Fox has even been testing young actresses to star in the movie alongside Tatum - including Spectre's Lea Seydoux - but sources claim that "something is up" with his deal. The site points out that there's always a chance that this can be resolved and that the actor may stay on as a producer, but it's currently not looking good.

In other Gambit news thanks to Fastlane who provides production details on the feature. The Rupert Wyatt-helmed solo picture begins filming on October 13th and continues through February 12th of next year for theatrical release on October 7, 2016. It will have an estimated total budget of $154.9 million and create over 431 jobs for the economy.

Chris Pine Has Joined The DCCU And It's With Gal Gadot's WONDER WOMAN

The Wrap reveals that Chris Pine has now closed his deal to join the cast of Wonder Woman as Steve Trevor. So clearly those reports that he was going to be Hal Jordan/Green Lantern reports were incorrect then, but it still sounds like the Star Trek actor is going to play a major role in the DC Cinematic Universe because his multi-picture deal also includes sequel options. The site goes on to point out that, "Steve Trevor will be no mere love interest for Gadot’s Diana Prince, as there will be plenty of action to keep him busy." In the comics, Steve and Diana embark on a romantic relationship after he crash lands on Themyscira, and he later becomes the Justice League's government liason...even after the two have broken up! How much - if any - of that will make it to the big screen remains to be seen.

Patty Jenkins is directing Wonder Woman from a script by Jason Fuchs, and the movie is set to be released on June 23rd, 2017.

New BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Stills; Cast & Crew Talk Details

Empire for this month will have an in-depth look at the upcoming DC film, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and to kick off their coverage they showcase both Batfleck and Cav-El in their alter ego attire, which you can see above, Empire has some stills both from the film and behind-the-scenes, they showcase another look at some of the shots seen in the most recent trailer. Not only are there stills but also some intriguing details from Zack Snyder (Director), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne), and more!

In the Comic-Con trailer for Batman v Superman, we saw Wayne Manor in ruins. The Batcave however could still be seen in good condition, but where Bruce Wayne actually calls home is hard to say. Well, those reports about him living in a house away from the mansion were correct as production designer Patrick Tatopoulos has confirmed that his new premises is set next to an idyllic lakeside and known as the Glasshouse. "Its footprint is minimal, it is part of nature," he says. "Y…

New BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Images Show The Bat-Signal, Lex Zuckerberg, And Supes In Where?

Empire Online has released three epic new stills from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and they feature the Man of Steel searching for the Caped Crusader in the ruins of Wayne Manor, the Dark Knight standing tall in his armour, and a very different look for LexCorp.

First up is Cavill's Supes, looking like, a) he's inside the burnt-out ruins of Wayne Manor, and b) he's not there to measure it out for new soft furnishing. Below is his adversary, for the majority of the movie at least, in Affleck's Batman. Note the almost medieval shape of the Bat armour, designed to level the playfield when he's exchanging blows with Kal-El. The Bat signal - a legacy from the Commissioner Gordon era - is now being used to lure in Superman for a mighty set-to.

Last but far from least, Empire boasts another look at Jesse Eisenberg's hip, RAM-brained superbad Lex Luthor. Suitably CEO-ish in bearing and Silicon Valley in garb, he's still lustrously maned - like Professor Xav…

The Merc With The Mouth Is Ready To Slice Up Some Chimichangas In New DEADPOOL Images

Empire Magazine has officially unveiled three new images from Deadpool, and as well as offering up a new look at Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) in and out of costume, we also get to see Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Copycat (Morena Baccarin).

The new trailer, which debuted in San Diego and subsequently, and predictably, leaked into the ether soon after, will be arriving in official formats soon. Look out for all the gonzo spirit and red-band mayhem you’d wish for in this long-dreamed-about only-half-expected adaptation of the Fabian Nicieza/ Rob Liefeld comic book. It’s also, Reynolds reassured the Comic-Con crowds, a course correct after Deadpool’s gagging order in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. "The mouth is not sewn shut at any point in this film," he stressed. "I wasn't even paid, I just insisted on that."

Here’s Reynolds in his before-and-after guises: as Wade Wilson in his civvies with Morena Baccarin, and as f-bombing, fourth-wall-breaking …

Take Another Look At The Cast Of X-MEN APOCALYPSE

20th Century Fox has officially released those pictures from X-Men Apocalypse that came out from Entertainment Weekly's coverage of San Diego Comic-Con but now in hi-res! However there is a glaring absence of both Olivia Munn's Psylocke and Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse, this could be just a sign that Fox wants us to see them in motion first than in picture form or it could just be me nitpicking! Anyway look below for those hi-res beauties!

X-Men: Apocalypse, directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past), will hit theaters on May 27, 2016 and stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Rose Byrne (Moira McTaggert), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Ben Hardy (Angel), Olivia Munn(Psylocke), Lucas Till(Havok) and Lana Condor (Jubillee).

Apocalypse is coming for the X-Men. Or, more specifically, a giant 5,000 year-old Egyptian mutant who goes by that very unfriendly name and is the focus of the latest installment in Fox’s X-Men franchise.  “He’s believed to be the first mutant, whatever that means,” says star Oscar Isaac. “He is the creative-slash-destructive force of this earth. When things start to go awry, or when things seem like they’re not moving towards evolution, he destroys those civilizations.” Think of him as a god who does gut renovations.
Also consider him the creative team’s way of topping the previous X-Men film, the epic Days of Future Past. That flashbacking film combined both casts of the original franchise (Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, etc.) with the newer castmembers (Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy) and became the top-grossing entry in the series with $750 million worldwide. “The problem with Days of Future Past is it’s hard to sequelize,” says writer-producer Simon Kinberg, who’s been with th…
