BLOG UPDATE: The Future For Now

Hello Facebook, Twitter, G+, and other social platforms I am here to talk to you about the future of this blog. No I am not quitting writing up news and other stuff, but what I will be doing is going on a year long hiatus. I know that seems a bit extreme but it is the truth. The reason behind this hiatus is due to me taking exams next June which will decide what I am doing in the future in regards to college, I am seventeen going on eighteen by the way, this will therefore take up a lot of time and work towards my studies. So this blog here will have to be put on the backburner for awhile.

But, and this is a big but, it does not mean I will completely not report on current movie and TV news! My plan, not set in stone yet, is utilise what's around ie my Facebook page and other social media accounts which I'll link to down below. I will be posting trailers, news, and other stuff for you there so you will be all caught up.

Now let's talk after the hiatus, I have some exciti…

ARROW Adds Elysia Rotaru As Oliver's Love Interest

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Arrow has cast Elysia Rotaru as a new love interest for Oliver in the upcoming season of Arrow.

Before the fans freak out, Oliver (Stephen Amell) is still with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Rotaru (Supernatural, iZombie) will recur in flashbacks as someone from Oliver’s past, though further details on her character are being kept under wraps.

“Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW.

The last we saw of Oliver in the past, he had left Hong Kong behind. “We have a really great surprise for the season premiere for the flashbacks, and it’s made talking about the flashbacks very difficult,” Guggenheim recently said. “We pick up basically in real time. It’s been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at th…

"We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired," said Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim in a statement. "The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a…

GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot Will Feature Bill Murray!

It appears as though Bill Murray will indeed be in the upcoming reboot of the much loved Ghostbusters, which is comprised of an all female team. THR is reporting that Murray will have a cameo in the feature, although it is unknown in what capacity.

Murray has long been resistant to star in a third Ghostbusters. He told David Letterman earlier this year that his hesitancy stems from Ghostbusters II not having been as well-received as the first one.

Feig's film, which is currently shooting, stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. It hits theaters on July 22, 2016.

Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Yates (McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save t…

There’s going to be a big time jump

A decent amount of time will pass between the end of Season 2 and the beginning of Season 3 — so much so that much of Coulson’s SHIELD team will have come to terms with Simmons being missing. All but the obvious member, of course.

“There’s a big time jump. I feel like everyone’s almost come to terms with it in their own way, except for Fitz,” Bennet explains during a small group interview.

Henstridge says, “It’s Fitz’s mission to get Simmons back. It’s a solo mission. What happened was so crazy and there was no trace of her, that what do you do? She disappeared into this rock that goes to liquid sometimes, but we don’t know why…

DEADPOOL Trailers With Some Other Stuff!

Well folks we now have our first official look at the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, Deadpool, as two trailers have been released one being green band and the other in full red band awesomeness! Check them below along with a breakdown from the director himself thanks to Empire.

Here are some of the things Tim Miller, Deadpool director, dished out in Empire's exclusive breakdown from the trailers:

"We flash backwards and forwards in time throughout the movie, so this scene of Wade before he’s Deadpool doesn’t necessarily come as early as you’d think. But even if you were to place it linearly, it would still probably come about 20 minutes in. We meet Wade before he’s met Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), when he’s a kind of small-time mercenary. Then he meets her and falls in love, and then they learn he’s got cancer. So this scene is post-cancer."

"That’s Jed Rees, who plays The Recruiter. He was great. He was the main alien in Galaxy Quest: t…

With his breakout role as Dr. Dre in Universal and Legendary’s “Straight Outta Compton” already receiving early praise, Corey Hawkins is reteaming with Legendary on its “King Kong” prequel, “Kong: Skull Island.”

Hawkins is in negotiations to join Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson in the action tentpole. Jordan Vogt-Roberts directs the pic, and Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce with Mary Parent. Alex Garcia and Eric McLeod exec produces.

While plot details are still vague, the story will be set in the mysterious, dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the island.

Max Borenstein, John Gatins and Dan Gilroy penned the script.

Legendary seems to want to keep building on this relationship following early reviews of the N.W.A. biopic that signal the film could be a sleeper hit this summer. Besides “Straight Outta Compton,” Hawkins can also be seen in the upcoming season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.”

Hawkins graduated from Juilliard …

Wally West Joins THE FLASH SEASON 2

Warner Bros. and The CW have announced that actor Keiynan Lonsdale will be joining The Flash this winter in the role of Wally West, an iconic character from the Flash Universe who became the speedster known as Kid Flash. While news of Wally’s arrival on the show will undoubtedly please fans, it’s not altogether surprising. When both Iris and Joe West were announced for season one, it seemed pretty likely that eventually Wally would join the fold should the show prove successful.

Lonsdale is an emerging actor who was most recently seen in Insurgent, the second chapter of the blockbuster Divergent franchise. Flash Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said of the casting, “Just like when we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

When and if Wally will become Kid Flash on The CW’s hit series (or ever step into the role of the Scarlet Speedster himself)…

ARROW Adds Villains & Allies For Fourth Season

Jeri Ryan is coming to The CW's "Arrow," Access Hollywood has revealed. The "Star Trek: Voyager" alum will guest star in the second episode of Season 4.

Jeri will play Jessica Danforth in the episode, a friend of the Queen family. Her political ambitions will place her in the crosshairs of a menacing antagonist, Access has learned. Jeri recently appeared on Syfy's "Helix" and TNT's "Major Crimes."

THR reports that British actor Jimmy Akingbola has nabbed a recurring role of DC Comics villain Baron Reiter — well known as Baron Blitzkrieg — on Arrow's fourth season.

Akingbola will recur on the series as Baron Reiter, an adversary for Oliver, and appear in the show's prominent flashback scenes. In the comics, the character is the leader of the nefarious group Shadowspire.

Fans hoping to see the DC Universe’s legendary winged, wayward lovers brought to live-action life will soon get their chance on The CW’s upcoming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It has been announced by DC Comics that actor Falk Hentschel (Transcendence, Reckless) will be taking on the role of Carter Hall, otherwise known as Hawkman, on the eagerly awaited new series, which also stars Ciara Renée as Hawkgirl.

On DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Carter Hall is the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders. Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as “Hawkman.”

Along with starring opposite Cam Gigandet in the CBS series Reckless and with Johnny Depp in the film Transcendence, Hentschel’s appeared in the Channing Tatum action flick White House Down, with Tom Cruise in Knight and Day and on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., among other TV and mov…

Channing Tatum Will Suit Up For GAMBIT

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that 22 Jump Street star, Channing Tatum, will indeed suit up for his role as Remt LeBeau also know by Gambit. This follows reports that there was a snag in making out the deal for Tatum, which THR have gone on to confirm that there was a problem at some point in time. Although the Magic Mike star's participation hardly was in any real danger because the actor already had invested quite a bit in the superhero part. Tatum has been attached to the movie (loosely then officially) as both actor and producer for a few years and even made a surprise appearance at Fox’s X-Men panel at Comic-Con in July.

One thing that needed figuring out was the extent of Tatum’s involvement in the X-Men universe. Fox sees Tatum’s Gambit, a mutant who harnesses kinetic energy, as one of the anchor characters of the X-universe, akin to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, someone who would anchor his own movies and appear in numerous others. It’s a commitment that could theoretic…
