This fall, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will follow Director Coulson and his team as they track down new Inhumans across the globe…but they aren’t the only ones looking.

Marvel announced that Constance Zimmer (“House of Cards,” “Entourage”) has joined the series to play the head of a mysterious new group that will cross paths with S.H.I.E.L.D. as both seek out new Inhumans following the events of last season.

“When casting this role, we needed someone that could go toe-to-toe with Coulson,” said series Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “Constance brings a level of wit and spark to the role we could have only dreamed of, and we’re beyond excited to add her to our already stellar cast going into the new season.”

Marvel have announced that Andrew Howard(“Hell on Wheels,” “Bates Motel”) has been cast in the role of Banks, an intimidating and mysterious government agent who will challenge Coulson and his team in their mission to find and protect powered people.

Last year fans met Agent May’s ex-husband Andrew Garner, played by two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Blair Underwood, and with a new season under way you’ll get to see even more of their dynamic as the star returns to “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”!

Marvel can’t say just what Garner’s return means for May, but they can confirm that Underwood will return for multiple episodes in the series’ third season.

In the aftermath of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson will search the world for more powered people and will face threats unlike the world has ever seen. However, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon find out they're not the only ones tracking down these new Inhumans.

Season 3 of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.
