Dope Star Kiersey Clemons Likey For The Flash's Female Lead

Variety are reporting that Dope star Kiersey Clemons is the top choice for the female lead in DC Films' The Flash.

Clearly director Rick Famuyiwa is going after familiar faces for the DC film as he directed Dope as well.

While details are still vague on who the character may be, insiders say it is likely to be Iris West, the tough-as-nails journalist and friend of Barry Allen, the alter ego of the Flash.

The film will star Ezra Miller, who first appeared as the titular superhero in DC Films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The Flash is set to begin production later this year with Seth Grahame-Smith’s most recent draft of the script, which is based on a treatment by Chris Miller and Phil Lord.

UPDATE:

The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit adds that some of the other actresses for the role include Rita Ora and Lucy Boynton:

Also Variety's Justin Kroll says that Kiersey will report to the Justice League set to do a cameo like role similar to Amber Heard's Mera:
