Geoff Johns Promoted To President Of DC Entertainment

Geoff Johns has been promoted from his previous role, chief creative officer, to now both president and chief creative officer of DC Entertainment. He will still be reporting to Diane Nelson, who remains president of DC Entertainment, president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products and president and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. (Jim Lee and Dan DiDio, co-publishers at DC Entertainment, will also continue to report to Nelson.)

Johns received the new title when he was promoted to head up DC Films alongside Jon Berg back in May. Already on board to develop the stand-alone Batman movie with Ben Affleck, it has since been revealed that Johns co-wrote the screenplay for Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman with Allan Heinberg from a story by Johns, Heinberg and Zack Snyder.

Johns' new title is one of a number of changes to the DC hierarchy in recent months; a number of additional internal moves have been made including John Cunningham going from vp, content strategy to senior vp, sales and trade marketing and Amit Desai going from senior vp, marketing and global franchise management to exec vp, business & marketing strategy, direct to consumer and global franchise management.
