Ben Affleck Confirms Title Of Batman Solo And Gives Script Update

Ben Affleck star and director of such hits like Argo, The Town, and the upcoming prohibition era film Live By Night, will put his talents forward for DC Films' Batman solo film. The film has no immediate release date but has been speculated to come out in 2018 along with films like The Flash and Aquaman.

Ben of course plays Bruce Wayne/Batman in the current DC Cinematic venture since his debut as the character(s) in Batman v Superman and will carry on into Justice League and beyond. He recently gave a confirmation and update on the beyond point in a recent interview with Associated Press.

“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’. At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now. We’re working on the script, the script is going well, I’m really excited about it,” Affleck explained.

The Batman is written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns, directed by Ben Affleck, and stars Ben Affleck and JK Simmons, who plays Commissioner Gordon.

Wonder Woman is slated for release on June 2, 2017; followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; an untitled DC Film on October 5, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; an untitled DC film on November 1, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, Harley Quinn spinoff, a Man of Steel sequel, The Batman, and a Justice League Dark film are currently without release dates.
