'Thor: Ragnarok' To Feature Miek; A Connection To 'Planet Hulk' Storyline

On the final day of production Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Ragnarok, took us on a tour of the film's set with special guests Chris Hemsworth, Thor, and Tessa Thompson, Valkyrie.

Taika showed us the set which looks like a space junkyard along with a few people who are playing "scrappers" - possibly similar to that of Ravagers seen in Guardians. The video tour continued on with Taika introducing an actor who's playing a character called Miek - Miek was an alien who teamed with the Hulk to overthrow a despotic regime that forced slaves to fight gladiatorial battles in order to survive on the planet Sakaar in the Planet Hulk storyline.

Ragnarok will have Mark Ruffalo's Hulk teaming up with Thor to deal with the Grandmaster  - a cosmic being who, in the comics, likes to pit characters against each other in battles of some sort, so it is possible we might see Hulk and Miek but heads for a bit.

Check out the tour down below.

Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, with Cate Blanchett as Hela, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Karl Urban as Skurge.

Thor: Ragnarok, the third installment of Marvel’s popular Norse Super Hero, is directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Taika Waititi (“Two Cars, One Night,” “What We Do in the Shadows,” “Hunt for the Wilderpeople”).  Kevin Feige will produce the film, joined by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee. Also the film's composer is Mark Mothersbaugh.

The film will release 3rd of November of 2017.
