Tom Holland Talks 'Spider-Man: Homecoming', Stunts, Avengers, And More

Tom Holland, the actor playing the newest iteration of Spider-Man, has some things to say about the suit, the stunts, and some other things like being in an Avengers film.

“The suit’s not the greatest thing, but sometimes when it’s uncomfortable, you just have to remind yourself of the long list of actors that would love to be in that suit and you just go, ‘do you know what, f**k it. I’m the luckiest kid alive,'” Holland said at the New York Film Festival premiere of The Lost City of Z. “‘I deserve to be here and I’m going to give it my best.'”

Holland, known for being quite the acrobat, is using his skills to take some punches and display his moves while working on Homecoming.

“I did as many [of the stunts] as I could, but there are some things legally that I couldn’t do,” said Holland. “There were stunt doubles who were all very, very talented guys who really supported me throughout the process. Whenever there was a stunt that I didn’t necessarily feel comfortable about, they would step in and show my how to do it, and coach me through the process.”

He made his debut in this summer's blockbuster Captain America: Civil War and may appear in more Avengers-esque films in the near future too.

“It’s all up in the air,” said Holland. “I believe some sort of deal is in the mix, but I’m unclear as to what that deal is.”

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios' "Captain: Civil War," begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., produced by Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige, and written by  Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017.
