'Aquaman' Will Enter Pre-Production Soon In Australia's Gold Coast

Well DC Films are going places, places like Australia's Gold Coast, as pre-production begins for their upcoming swashbuckling quest film, Aquaman.  James Wan already confirmed that they will indeed film in Australia for the feature, and now Gold Coast Bulletin reports of the beginnings of production of the film.

Aquaman will begin pre-production at Village Roadshow Studios once it has been cleared of Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok sets. It is expected that filming begins early next year.

Bill Brzeski (Iron Man 3), will be the film's production designer and Joel Kramer (Furious 7), will be the second unit/assistant director and stunt co-ordinator.

Jason Momoa plays the titular role, Arthur Curry, he will be joined by Amber Heard as Mera, and Willem Dafoe as Vulko. Aquaman is set for a July 27th, 2018 date directed by James Wan.

Wonder Woman is slated for release on June 2, 2017; followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; an untitled DC Film on October 5, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; an untitled DC film on November 1, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, Harley Quinn spinoff, a Man of Steel sequel, and a Batman solo movie are currently without release dates.
