'Aquaman' Sets Its Eyes For An October 2018 Release Date

Aquaman fans rejoice as Warner Brothers and DC Films have announced a final release date for the half-human half-Atlantean character's film. The James Wan-directed film will be released October 5th of 2018 in both 3D and IMAX.

Arthur Curry, Aquaman, who is played by Jason Momoa, made his first appearance in the DC Extended Universe in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and will make another appearance before his solo film in Zack Snyder's Justice League, which comes to cinemas November 17th 2017.

Momoa is to be joined by Amber Heard, who will play Mera, a character who is the Queen of Atlantis in the comics and more than likely in the film universe as well, along with Heard will be Willem Dafoe's Nuidis Vulko, an ally of Arthur's.

The film will be produced by Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Rob Cowan.

Filming is expected to begin next year in Australia and some places like Erice Old Town and the Castle of Venus, Italy.
