Sony Working On A 'Jump Street' Spin-Off; 'Men In Black' Tie-In Still Being Developed

Can't get enough of the Jump Street series? Well it looks like Sony Pictures could get your needs sorted. The studio is in the first stages of developing a spin-off from the franchise, and this spin-off will revolve around female detectives.

Sony are tapping Rodney Rothman, whose writing credits include 22 Jump Street and Get Him To The Greek, to write the film but also to direct it too. This film is in early days and in the latest draft of the script does have male characters in it so far.

The spin-off idea was one of the few swirling about, another one, that is also still being developed, is a crossover film that would've had the original Jump Street squad team up with the agents of the Men In Black universe - they wouldn't be Tommy Lee Jones nor Will Smith.
