'The Mummy' Trailer Coming This Sunday; Poster Released Now

What does the world do when an ancient mummy comes back from the dead? Calling Tom Cruise is the answer, well at least in this iteration of the classic film of The Mummy. This version will be a more modern affair this time, and we will get to see more of what the world looks like when a mummy is walking among us this Sunday as Universal Pictures have released a teaser for the Sunday trailer, that shows us a few glimpses of The Mummy, Cruise's character and a few other things. Universal also released the above poster too.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy stars Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe. It is directed by Alex Kurtzman, written by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie, produced by Alex Kurtzman, Chris Morgan, Sarah Bradshaw, and Sean Daniel, and will be released June 9, 2017.
