Despite Media Faux Pas, Ben Affleck Will Still Direct 'The Batman'

Notwithstanding unconfirmed background noise that has been plaguing the internet with falsehoods about the production, DC Films and Warner Bros. will still have Ben Affleck at the helm of The Batman.

While there has been websites running their mouths dry with untrue whispers about the film's current state, exacerbating nerves in fans, and becoming quite a nuisance, the folks over at Warner Bros. are happily letting Ben Affleck develop the solo Caped Crusader film in his own time.

Affleck, currently promoting his film, Live By Night, was asked by Jimmy Kimmel about what is happening with him and DC. Putting the nail on the coffin, he solidly put to rest those pesky lies you may have heard of.

The Batman is written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns, directed by Ben Affleck, and stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Batman,  Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, JK Simmons, who plays Commissioner Gordon, and Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke.
