Woody Harrelson Confirmed To Join 'Han Solo' Spin-Off

The Han Solo spin-off film from the Star Wars franchise will have Woody Harrelson to play in the film.

The actor hotly picked by Disney executives will indeed play in the Solo film. He will be playing opposite Alden Ehrenreich, who plays a young Han Solo. The trades of Hollywood learned that he will more than likely play the young Solo's mentor, this has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm so far but expect him to see in that role.

The film also stars Donal Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke in an unknown role at this time.

Christopher Miller and Phil Lord will be directing the film with Kathleen Kennedy and Allison Shearmur. It is expected to begin production in January with a May 25, 2018 release date to boot. The film will, like Rogue One, will be set some time before A New Hope and will add more cinematic history to the character.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. “His ability to find both humour and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”
