'Atomic Blonde' Poster Released; Focus Features Sets SXSW Screening

Focus Features has adapted Oni Press' graphic novel The Coldest City, written by Antony Johnston & illustrator Sam Hart, and will have Charlize Theron starring as Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton in the now titled Atomic Blonde.

The film directed by David Leitch, of John Wick and soon Deadpool 2 fame, will have its debut at SXSW on Sunday March 12 before going to cinemas on July 28.

Atomic Blonde is written by 300 scribe, Kurt Johnstad, and stars James McAvoy, John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones.

The crown jewel of Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton (Theron) is equal parts spycraft, sensuality and savagery, willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission. Sent alone into Berlin to deliver a priceless dossier out of the destabilized city, she partners with embedded station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) to navigate her way through the deadliest game of spies.
