Mel Gibson Talks Up Directing A 'Suicide Squad' Sequel

Mel Gisbon's name has been swirling around the entertainment news as the possible director for the sequel to DC Films' Suicide Squad, up until now it has been quiet in regards to anything revolving around this.

Gibson was in attendance of the Oscars last night for his film, Hacksaw Ridge, and he was asked about whether or not he is directing the film.

"I don't know," Gibson told Entertainment Tonight. "I just met some guys about story points. It's not a done deal or anything. But it's just fun to shoot the bull, when it comes to stories. I love doing it. And if we can elevate any kind of concept it's good. We'll see."

As of now talking in terms of Suicide Squad and its characters, we will see David Ayer, the helmer of the original film, directing Gotham City Sirens film, that will revolve around Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie, and possibly other female DC Comics characters like Poison Ivy and Catwoman. A Deadshot film is said to also be in the works, although no director nor writer has been attached but only Will Smith as the hitman.

We might get official word of all these projects come Comic Con of this year, when mass amounts of news comes in.
