Will Smith Not To Appear In 'Dumbo' Remake

Talks between Smith and Disney have since fallen and the mega star will not appear in the Tim Burton-directed feature.

The actor would've starred as one of the main characters, the father of the child who makes a companionship with the lovable baby elephant, but has since declined the role. The reasoning was of monetary and scheduling conflicts, but Disney are still actively eyeing a production start with a script by Ehren Kruger.

Smith is working elsewhere on a third instalment of the Bad Boys films with Bad Boys For Life, which will have the star reteam up with Martin Lawrence with Joe Carnahan directing his own script.
