'Han Solo' Adds Michael K. Williams To Cast

Variety are reporting that Michael K. Williams is in final talks to join the next Star Wars anthology film, which will be the origin story of Han Solo, who will be played by Alden Ehrenreich.

The film has already begun production in London at the Pinewood Studios. It also stars Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Chris Miller and Phil Lord are the directors behind the film with a script penned by Jon and Lawrence Kasdan. The feature is produced by Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy and Allison Shearmur, and it is set before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope.

Plot details are under lock and key, other than it being the origin story of the scruffy-looking nerf herder.

It is scheduled for a May 25, 2018 release date.
