Jon Favreau's 'The Lion King' To Film May In Los Angeles

Walt Disney is reimagining the classic animated with a modern live-action version with Jon Favreau - who has worked on Iron Man, The Jungle Book, and Chef - at the helm.

The Lion King, thanks to a recent update on My Entertainment World, looks to be begin filming this May in Los Angeles, and taking into account where Favreau made Jungle Book it is more than likely that the Los Angeles Center Studios will be where the remake is filmed.

The retelling of the 1994 widely-praised film, which is written by Jeff Nathanson, will star Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones as Mufasa - Simba's father.
