Lizzy Caplan To Star In Sci-Fi Thriller 'Extinction' With Michael Peña

Lizzy Caplan is set to play opposite Michael Pena in Universal and Good Universe’s sci-fi thriller Extinction. Variety's sources indicate that Caplan will play Pena’s wife in the film, which follows a man trying to save his family from an alien invasion.

The film will have director Ben Young as its helmer. Writing talent for the film includes Eric Heisserer, who will pen the script with Spenser Cohen and Bradley Caleb Kane.

Producing the film will be Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville. Executive producing is Mandeville’s Alexander Young executive produce, with Good Universe's Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake. Anna Halberg will be co-produce the film.

Overseeing the project for Universal will be exec vp of production Erik Baiers and creative executive Mika Pryce and for Good Universe, Erin Westerman will oversee it.
