Vanessa Kirby Gets Lead Female Role For 'Mission: Impossible 6'

Ready for another mission?

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are setting course to make the sixth instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise that will star Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt. Now reports are coming in that Vanessa Kirby, star of Netflix's The Crown, is in final talks to join the film.

Star from previous films like Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and Jeremy Renner are expected to return for the sixth but it is unknown in what capacity.

Christopher McQuarrie - who wrote and directed Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation - is coming back to write and direct the sixth film.

While plot details are undisclosed at this time, it is expected that Kirby is to be a female lead in the same capacity Ferguson had in Rogue Nation. Cruise and executive producers met with talent earlier in the year, for the role, aiming with a spring shoot date.
