Irish Actor Michael McElhatton Confirms 'Justice League' Role; Praises Zack Snyder

Joining up with another Irish Game of Thrones actor - that being Ciarán Hinds - for Zack Snyder's Justice League is Michael McElhatton. McElhatton, who stars in the upcoming National Geographic series Genius, recently was interviewed during the premiere of the series and was asked about his part in the film albeit providing very little information.

McElhatton hinted that his role takes place in the opening scene - which is to be a prologue introducing us to the ancient history of the Motherboxes that are on Earth. With this there is not that much to go by although he could be one of the figures seen in the screen-cap down below.

You can see the interview here, where he also praises the film's director, Zack Snyder, on his openness in filmmaking and his love for the DC Comics lore.

McElhatton can be soon seen in Genius, which premieres April 25, as Dr. Philipp Lenard and will be in Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword as Jack's Eye in theatres May 12.

Fuelled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, with Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf - the film's main antagonist.

Justice League hits theatres November 17, 2017.
