Ryan Reynolds & Samuel L. Jackson Make For An Odd Couple In 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' Trailer

Before we get started, no this is not a film where Nick Fury recruits Deadpool to become an Avenger. But it is however a film that shows that maybe that idea wouldn't go down so well.

Lionsgate has released the first restricted trailer for The Hitman's Bodyguard, which will have Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson become a couple of sorts. The two play a renowned protection agent and a hitman, who has a hit on him, respectively so basically all the bad things happen.

Check the trailer here:

The Hitman's Bodyguard stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, Joaquim De Almeida, Kirsty Mitchell, with Richard E. Grant.

The world’s top protection agent [Ryan Reynolds] is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world’s most notorious hitmen [Samuel L. Jackson]. The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours. During their raucous and hilarious adventure from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades and a merciless Eastern European dictator [Gary Oldman] who is out for blood. Salma Hayek joins the mayhem as Jackson’s equally notorious wife.

The Hitman's Bodyguard is expected to be released August 18.
