Sir Roger Moore Dies At Age 89

Moore was battling cancer at the time of his death. Famous for taking down outlandish villains and having beautiful women around him as James Bond, Sir Roger Moore became an icon for many generations, who became fans of the British espionage franchise.

He replaced the more by-the-book head strong Sean Connery with a more lighter and flamboyant take on the immensely popular world-saving spy in 1973's Live and Let Die. Moore later played the character for several more times until finishing his run as Bond in 1985's A View to a Kill.

"It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer," his children said in a statement. "The love which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone.

"Thank you Pops for being you, and for being so very special to so many people."

Moore was not only famous for being the sua…

Zack Snyder To Vacate 'Justice League' Film Due To Family Tragedy

Zack Snyder, for many is a filmmaker who has, through his work, inspired many to create and prosper in the world of art. But for a select few, Deborah Snyder, several children and step-children, he is a husband and father, and as of now he will be that figure in their lives for the foreseeable future as a tragedy has struck the Snyder family.

In March of this year, Autumn Snyder, 20, daughter of Snyder from his first marriage with Denise Snyder, committed suicide. It was only known to a select few at the time even with production on Justice League being put on hold for two weeks so that he and producing partner and wife, Deborah Snyder, can mourn the loss of Autumn. Zack has said that he was eager to get back into making the film though.

But it is with the loss of their daughter that they have decided to leave the project, to mourn and recuperate with their family.

“In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was the way thro…

Tom Hardy To Headline 'Venom' Sony Standalone Film

A reckoning is coming in the form of Venom, a standalone Sony film, that will feature and revolve solely around the notorious Spider-Man villain of the same name.
He was Batman's enemy in The Dark Knight Rises as the hulking mercenary and ex-League of Shadows member, Bane and will become a villain once more in this film. I am indeed talking about Tom Hardy. Hardy, who was supposed to star in Triple Frontier, has been tapped to play the vicious and crazed symbiote-human bad guy. The actor is supposedly a massive Venom fan.

Also brought into the project is Zombieland helmer, Ruben Fleischer, whose sensibilities of bring dark humour and themes in Zombieland made him a good fit for Sony.

Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner are penning the script for the film with producing of the project to be done by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, along with Amy Pascal. Overseeing for Columbia Pictures are Palak Patel and Eric Fineman.

It should be noted that this film will not be connected to what both M…

First Look(s) At Amber Heard's Mera From 'Aquaman'

After Justice League comes out DC Films and Warner Bros. will have the James Wan-directed Aquaman next on the docket, and with that film we will see another appearance of Amber Heard's Mera - who we will see a first in Justice League come November this year.

Now, with Aquaman currently in production, we have been given another look or should I say looks, at the Atlantean Queen and sorceress thanks to Wan and Heard themselves as Heard has begun filming her role.

Taken by newcomer to the DC film world, Jasin Boland, we get to see two stills from the film that show off Heard in her Mera get-up or at least one form of Mera's outfit - that has been designed by Kym Barrett. Fun fact: Barrett and Boland are both newcomers to this franchise and have worked on films like The Matrix in their respective duties - costume designer and still photographer.

Lady MERA swept in from the sea. First day with the exquisite Amber Heard. (Shot by the talented @jasinboland )…
