'Marvel's The Defenders' First Trailer Brings The Team Together

Netflix and Marvel Television have released the first official trailer for their upcoming series, Marvel's The Defenders - which comes out August 18 - and with the new trailer we get a better sense of what is going on in Hell's Kitchen. From the trailer it seems that business is usual as danger arises and it becomes a joint effort from the quartet of heroes to stop the evil forces, those forces being in the form of Sigourney Weaver's character.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Marvel's The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch aka Daredevil, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand aka Iron Fist with Sigourney Weaver as the main antagonist for the Defenders. Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Televison, executive produces with Douglas Petrie (Marvel’s Daredevil, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Marvel’s Daredevil, Orange Is the New Black) serving as showrunners.

The series will be ready to binge August 18.
