More horrors of war are shown in the latest trailer for Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. The film, which takes place in Dunkirk at one of the worst times in human history, World War 2, has been given a new trailer, that shows us more of what happened on that beach in Northern France.

Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.

Dunkirk is written and directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy, as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead. Rounding out the cast includes Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan and Tom Glynn-Carney.

The film is being produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas with Jake Myers serving as executive producer. The film's director of photography is Hoyte van Hoytema, with the rest of the behind-the-scenes crew filled out by production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Lee Smith, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson.

Dunkirk is slated for release on July 21, 2017.
