Thor Rallies The Troops In New 'Thor: Ragnarok' Trailer

What would one need to save home and possibly the whole universe? Well it looks like Thor has the right idea in Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok; He's going to make a team comprising of his Earth friend Bruce Banner/Hulk, his new friend Valkyrie, and his own brother, Loki!

David Ayer Teases 'Gotham City Sirens' Storyline

The DC Extended Universe is ever-expanding, showcasing many storylines from exploring the deep realm of the ocean in Aquaman or the investigating the world of Gotham in The Batman, it is and will chocked full of many narratives. One such arc that is being developed is Gotham City Sirens.

Speaking to IGN at San Diego Comic-Con, David Ayer, the film's director was asked why he chosed this story and not continue the one he made with Suicide Squad. "It's a story about three fantastic women who're trying to find their way in the world, and realize that they have more power together than they do individually." He said. Doctor Doom Film Being Developed By Noah Hawley For Fox

At the tail end of FX's San Diego Comic Con panel for their widely-loved series, Legion, showrunner Noah Hawley revealed is has something to work on in the future.

"Two words," he said. "Doctor. Doom."

Sources via The Hollywood Reporter have come forward to tell that Hawley is developing a film that will centre around the notorious Marvel Comics villain, Doctor Doom. This has been seen as a way for 20th Century Fox to revitalise the Fantastic Four brand on the big screen.

The overall cinematic franchise revolving Marvel's superhero family has been not the best, receiving less than typical praise and box office numbers from the numerous outings be them the Tim Story films of the late noughties to the most recent 2015 reboot from Josh Trank. Fox has been in a rough patch when it comes to bringing the iconic group on to the big screen, this Doctor Doom project could be the needed spark to light a successful franchise.

'Marvel's Inhumans' Comic Con Trailer Shows More Family Troubles And Then Some

Thursday saw Marvel Television bring out Marvel's Inhumans into the foray that is San Diego Comic Con, and with that comes a new trailer for the series - which will have its first two episodes premiere worldwide September 1 exclusively on IMAX screens.

'Shazam!' Reportedly To Begin Filming Early 2018; A 2019 Release Likely

The Hollywood Reporter have learned through their sources that New Line Cinema/DC Films' next film to begin production is Shazam!

The film, which will revolve around a young boy who has the ability to transform into Shazam -  a being who has the wisdom of Solomon; the strength of Hercules; the stamina of Atlas; the power of Zeus; the courage of Achilles; the speed of Mercury, will reportedly film in either January or February of 2018.

A 2019 release is likely to happen.

Annabelle: Creation helmer, David F. Sandberg is on board to direct the film for New Line, with Peter Safran, who is currently a producer on Aquaman and has worked with Sandberg before, in talks to produce Shazam! Henry Gayden is set to pen the script of the film.

An Otherworldly Being Is Afoot In 'The Shape Of Water' Trailer

Coming from the fantastical storyteller that is Guillermo Del Toro, we have The Shape of Water, which looks to be a rather unique period-piece fantasy feature filled with villainy and heroics.

Quentin Tarantino's Next Film To Examine Manson Family Murders

While he has said that he is done making films in the past numerous times, it looks like Quentin Tarantino is coming back for a very specific film.

It is being reported that Tarantino's next film will examine the infamous Manson Family murders that sent shockwaves not just in Hollywood but around the world also. This will be a first for the seasoned helmer, as his other films have been set in fictitious and have not been based on real life events.

Sources have said that Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who have been producing bodies for Tarantino's filmography, will be involved in the film - which will be written by Tarantino himself. The film is in early phases of being shopped by distributors and financiers to give the project life.

Lucy Liu To Direct 'Luke Cage' Season Two Premiere

Marvel Television and Netflix have announced that Lucy Liu will indeed direct the season two premiere of Marvel's Luke Cage.

While she was spotted on set earlier this year, it has now been confirmed that she is indeed putting her directorial efforts into the series' second season premiere. Liu's helming background includes a 2011 short film called Meena and a string of episodes of her series Elementary.

The show's showrunner and one of its executive producers, Cheo Hodari Coker said in a statement, “Lucy and I have been tight since our ‘SouthLAnd’ days and she’s a welcome addition to our Luke Cage family. She brings the same buoyant intensity, deft humour, and singular focus to her directing that she has always brought to her acting….not to mention the fact that the former ‘O’Ren Ishii’ certainly knows her way around an action sequence. Jaume Collet-Serra Frontrunner For 'Suicide Squad 2' Directing Position

Previously it was reported that Mel Gibson, director of such films like Hacksaw Ridge and The Passion of the Christ, was the first option for Warner Bros. to helm the sequel to the 2016 DC film, Suicide Squad.

But now Jaume Collet-Serra, who helmed Shallows, Run All Night, and Non-Stop, has been pegged to be the new frontrunner for directing the project.

It is understood that Gibson left the film due to script delays pushing the production that forced him to vacate. The studio brought on Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk, Avengers, Ready Player One) to write out a treatment and a now a new script will be made.

While the original David Ayer-directed film suffered on not garnering a great critical reception, it made just over $740 million at the worldwide box office so a sequel was a given. Ayer is expected, however, to helm Gotham City Sirens - which is to be a film revolving around Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman.

A bevy of comic-book inspired television series are coming out soon and one such series is Marvel Television, Freeform, and ABC Signature Studios' New Warriors. Premiering in 2018, it will see Marvel Television take on the comedic genre of television and will revolve around a group of "six young people learning to cope with their abilities in a world where bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates."

Ciarán Hinds Talks Steppenwolf Mo-Cap For Zack Snyder's 'Justice League'

A character that is yet to be shown in the trailers for Zack Snyder's Justice League, is the film's main antagonist, Steppenwolf. In the comics he, Steppenwolf, is the lieutenant of the Parademons - an army of otherworldly soldiers who wreak havoc on worlds, who we will also see in the film - and is the uncle to Darkseid - we'll get teases of him in the film too.

Irish actor Ciarán Hinds confirmed he will play the League enemy, and has now been interview again about this role, this time on The Michael Ball Show.

In the interview, the topic of conversation moved to Hinds' next big project which lo and behold is Justice League, and so he began talking about the sort aesthetic we will be dealing with in the film.

With production well underway over in Australia, Heard, who plays Mera - Aquaman's confidant and Queen of Atlantis, posted an image taken by still photographer Jasin Boland - a newcomer to DC Films - showing off Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry (Aquaman), James Wan, the film's director, and Heard herself as Mera all in civilian clothing.

Aquaman has a cast that includes Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Manteen II as Black Manta, with Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry.

A new trailer has been released and it does give off more of what can be forecasted come October for audiences. Outlandish weather patterns topped off with the plot that involves POTUS controlling said patterns, this film looks to be bonkers.

Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury To Appear In 'Captain Marvel'

First tipped off by Omega Underground and now confirmed via Deadline, we can safely say that we will indeed see Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury show up Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Nick Fury first popped up in an after credits scene in Iron Man, and has since appeared in Iron Man 2The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Solider, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and has made a few cameos in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD - Marvel Television and ABC's veteran series.

It is unknown of what sort of capacity his Captain Marvel role will be like.

The studio previously announced that Brie Larson will play Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, the film is being written by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve, and that the film will be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.

Captain Marvel begins production early next year with a slated March 8, 2019 release date on the docket.
