Survival Is Key In Trailer For Sony's 'Alpha'

A prehistoric Bear Grylls biopic, some would say after seeing the first trailer for Sony Pictures' upcoming Kodi Smit-McPhee Alpha.

Set in a time that is distant to ours, this film follows the journey a young man takes on plains of prehistoric Earth, traversing harsh climates and even harsher threats.

See the trailers down below.

An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age. Europe, 20,000 years ago. While on his first hunt with his tribe’s most elite group, a young man is injured and left for dead. Awakening to find himself broken and alone -- he must learn to survive and navigate the harsh and unforgiving wilderness. Reluctantly taming a lone wolf abandoned by its pack, the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and overwhelming odds in order to find their way home before the deadly winter arrives.

Directed by Albert Hughes from a screenplay by Daniela Sebastian Wiedenhaupt and story by Hughes, Alpha stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jóhannes Hakur Johannesson. Albert Hughes and Andrew Rona are producing. Alpha is expected to release March 2, 2018 in the US and then March 9 in Ireland/UK.
