See How Wonder Woman Was Crafted In 'Professor Marston & The Wonder Women' Trailer

We've seen her origin story this year, now it is time to know how she became an icon. I am of course talking about Wonder Woman, the celebrated DC Comics character.

Coming from Annapurna Pictures, we have Professor Marston & The Wonder Women, a biopic of Dr. William Moulton Marston, inventor of the lie-detector and the writer who created Wonder Woman back in the 1940's.

One can check out the trailer for the biopic down below.

In a superhero origin tale unlike any other, the film is the incredible true story of what inspired Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston to create the iconic Wonder Woman character in the 1940's. While Marston's feminist superhero was criticized by censors for her 'sexual perversity', he was keeping a secret that could have destroyed him. Marston’s muses for the Wonder Woman character were his wife Elizabeth Marston and their lover Olive Byrne, two empowered women who defied convention: working with Marston on human behavior research -- while building a hidden life with him that rivaled the greatest of superhero disguises.

Professor Marston & The Wonder Women is written and directed by Angela Robinson, and stars Luke Evans, Rebecca Hall, Bella Heathcote, and Connie Britton. It is scheduled for an October 27, 2017 US release with a Irish/British date to be decided.
