The DC Extended Universe And Then Some: A News Report

During the week we have been given a bevy of updates, reports regarding certain aspect of the DC Extended Universe's future, so let's breakdown those stories from a Joker origin film to Matt Reeves' The Batman and then end off with some advice.
The Joker
First we have a report coming from Deadline which reports that Warner Bros. and DC are in early stages to develop an Elseworld story, a narrative that would not interact nor connect with the existing cinematic universe - which has Ben Affleck as its Batman, Henry Cavill as its Superman, Gal Gadot as its Wonder Woman, etc - which will showcase an origin story for all new Joker.

The current iteration of The Joker is played by Jared Leto, who will appear again in the sequel to Suicide Squad and its spin-off Gotham City Sirens - a film which will have Margot Robbie reprise her Harley Quinn role and will be joined by other female characters from the DC Comics lore like Catwoman and Poison Ivy - but won't appear in this fil…

Ben Affleck Teases A More Heroic Batman Will Be Seen In 'Justice League'

Our first introduction to Ben Affleck's Batman was in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which we saw a more rage-motivated Dark Knight only set on destroying Superman. However he won't be like that when we see him next in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

In the, soon to be released, film, a threat far greater than what Batman can handle comes to Earth, so to combat it, he embarks in rallying up the troops, those being Ezra Miller's The Flash, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg. All this allows the character of Bruce Wayne/Batman to grow as a hero by beginning to trust people again.

“He’s put in this position of having to reach out, find other people, convincing them to do something,” Affleck explained to Entertainment Weekly. “Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It’s very different from the tenor of the last movie.”

Affleck added with, “'BvS' dep…

Captain Marvel will be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck of Mississippi Grind fame.
